Dawn Perry
Dawn Perry is chief risk and audit officer, senior counsel and senior vice president for Blue Cross Blue Shield of Massachusetts, the largest private health plan in the state and one of the largest independent, not-for-profit Blue Cross Blue Shield plans in the country. Blue Cross’ mission is to show up for everyone like they’re the only one. Dawn is responsible for strategic enterprise risk management and internal audit, reporting to the audit committee of the board of directors. Additionally, she leads the business continuity program, ensuring the company is prepared to continue operations in an emergency. Dawn also provides legal advice related to potential joint ventures, business partnerships and other collaborations.
Before joining Blue Cross in 2020, Dawn was vice president of business and regulatory law for Retail Business Services LLC, a subsidiary of the international food retailer Ahold Delhaize. Dawn advanced through several legal roles of growing responsibility, including serving as brand counsel for The Stop & Shop Supermarket Company LLC and as a member of the supermarket’s leadership team.
Dawn’s commitment to the community includes serving on the Massachusetts Board of Registration and Pharmacy and as an advisory board member for Bridgewater State University’s Ricciardi College of Business.
A graduate of the University of Massachusetts at Amherst, Dawn received her Juris Doctor from Suffolk University School of Law and a Master of Business Administration from Suffolk University’s Sawyer Business School.
